Protect it or Lose it
Student initiated ACTIONS
Early on in the unit, students came up with a desire to help endangered animals. After investigating websites for Earth Rangers and World Wildlife Federation, they quickly chose an animal to help support through the organization. Ideas were generated for raising money, and with a little bit of guidance and assistance, the students formed their own groups and began to make a plan of action.
The result? ... close to $500.00 raised in total by all their efforts (bottle collections, bake sales, drink stands, and more).
I am so proud of the work and dedication they put towards this project action. Thank you to all the parents and care-givers who helped make this ACTION be so successful!
